The Manor House Inn, lies in the heart of Ditcheat, a pretty Somerset village situated in the picturesque Mendip Hills. The Grade ll listed building dates back to the 17th Century and has been a pub since the 19th.
Ditcheat is also home to the world renowned farmers and cheesemakers Barbers.
The Barbers family started making cheese on their Somerset farm in 1833 and are now the oldest surviving cheddar makers in the world. Their story started six generations ago, in 1833, when Daniel Barber began making cheddar on Maryland Farm. It is still very much a family business, who are proud supporters and employers in the local community.
